About Rajesh Hamal
Maha Nayek Rajesh Hamal was born on 9 June 1964 in Tansen of Palpa District, Nepal.
He studied in St Xavier's School upto class eight in Nepal. Then He went Moscow with his parents. His father was Diplomat. He was ambassador of Russia at that time. So Rajesh Hamal get opportunity to acquire education in so many different places. Rajesh used to go to an American embassy school while in Russia so Rajesh had this opportunity of experiencing the best of both worlds you know, the free liberal, democratic world which he experienced in his school, and then the iron curtain, communal scenario of communist regime outside. Later on Rajesh Hamal completed his master's degree M.A from Panjab Univerity, Chandigard.
Rajesh Hamal has special Memory of Chandigard as his first crush was from Chandigard. Her name was Shailini.
Rajesh Hamal started modelling for Fashion Net, an Indian magazine in 1985.
He walked the ramp in Kathmandu and New Delhi in 1986. Then after his career as a film actor started with Nepali Movie Yug Dekhi Yug Samma in 1988. Yug Dekhi Yug Samma was a film made by his maternal uncle. Rajesh Hamal received a National Film Award for "Best Actor Debut" in 1989, for the movie Yug Dekhi Yug Samma.
